- SUSTAINABILITY
Varvel has always been at the forefront of sustainability, through particularly integrated and shared quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, from the Management to each staff member.
Varvel considers people the most precious resource of the company, and actively involves them in company life, also thanks to a capillary, continuous training process. Morevoer, Varvel pays the utmost attention to respect for fundamental human rights, supporting an inclusive approach and high integration between people and adopting principles of fairness and equality in every area of professional relationships, aimed at enhancing the skills of each individual in carrying out their tasks.

For Varvel, employee satisfaction is a resource for the future: and this is confirmed by an independent analysis carried out by Ethic Jobs in 2020, which resulted in the recognition of the Certificate of Excellent Workplace, testifying to a very positive company climate.
Particular attention is also paid to continuous support to non-profit organizations such as ANT, Doctors Without Borders and UNICEF, for their meritorious work.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Since 2000, Varvel has introduced the Environmental Management System, certifying it in 2001, in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard.
This certification aims to show all stakeholders that respect and protection of the environment are moral and social values that are inseparable from entrepreneurial activity: Varvel feels the need to guarantee future generations the possibility of living on a livable planet, and to do this it has long since implemented activities of primary importance.
Since 2010 the company has had a photovoltaic system for the production of electricity, with 675 photovoltaic panels that cover about 16% of the company’s needs.
For some time then Varvel has had separate collection, paying particular attention to the differentiation of industrial waste.
Finally, the company has chosen to certify the energy used to meet its production needs, through the purchase of European nominal certificates that attest to the 100% renewable origin of the energy consumed: through the use of a mix of sources renewables, Varvel actually produces without polluting, thus strengthening its eco-friendly policy.
